The EDA system is pc based for ease of consistant measurements for insulation integrity. The system meets IEEE 62 norm. Measures temperature and humidity , capacitance at D.C., and 1 KHZ. The leakage currents are measured during charge and discharging periods.

The system is based on research and development by Iberdrola, one of Spain`s largest power utilities, over 10,000 machines data used over 10 years of diagnostic experience.

The simple to follow computer menu helps the user to evaluate the insulation condition of the motor/generator under test. The DIAGHELP software produced helps with further evaluation.
